ok, I've gotten a little further, but not am not sure how I edit the proxy servers on the Incredible, or add in the Cricket proxy such as wap.mycricket.com

Since this is an Incredible thread, I'll ask here. I have the Android plan set up (NO proxies).
I have the Froyo 2.2 leak, with the the fixes patch.
I get the usual error with MMS, because the settings are still VZW.
I can see the settings (in Android "Settings") but I can't edit them, as they are all grayed out.
Must be a patch for this?

Found out how to use APN Backup from the Market to save, edit and restore the MMS settings (thanks ztahoez!)

any updates on this? I finally did all my M.IP settings, and my Inc does talk and text. I downloaded 1042 PRL, and when I *228 from here it gives me 4399, however no WAP at all in any apps, or web.
I used the APN method to setup the proxy also, with wap.mycricket.com and 8080.
I also tried downloading PRL 32100, and when I do it will show up "3G" in my phone in the top bar, but still not wap or anything.

by the way, I should add, I haven't rooted. Will rooting help anything? Will it help the type of problems that I am having? thanks!

Thats not all you have to do... Follow other phones instructions, mainly the Moto Droid in setting up the AutoStart.sh files and the Autostart Program. This allows WAP to work in Applications. Also you must setup the Proxy Settings not in APN (APN's are the "dun" if you will...), you need AnyCut to make a shortcut to Proxy Settings, then setup wap.mycricket.com 8080 in the proxy. Once you have the APN, Proxy and AutoStart Setup properly you will have a fully flashed Cricket Incredible like I do.

The same programs and drivers listed above
Anycut.apk-- get it in the android market place VIA Wifi.
1. Connect Phone Via QPST and open Service Programming. (See steps 1-3, 10 above)
2. Once you have begun Programming, click "Read From Phone". It will ask you for an SPC/MSL code. That code should now be six zeros (000000) -see step 12 above.
3. Click M.IP (may be M.IPv6 and set Mobile IP Behavior as MOB + Simp...
4. Select any profiles (there should be 1 or 2) listed under User Profiles, and click edit. Do the following for all profiles.
5. Make sure that "Profile enabled" is checked and enter in the following:
NAI: [email protected]
Tethered NAI: [email protected]
6. Change home address, primary ha, and secondary HA to all zeros.
7. On both HA Shared and AAA Shared Secret, click enter text string and type in the following password (all lower case): cricket
8. click ok
9. Set active user as 0.
10. Click PPP Config
11. The "Um" Button
12. Under user ID enter [email protected] as well as for tethered NAI. If a text box is black with red lines in it, click it and press ctrl D. Enter cricket in the password box.
13.Click "AN" Button and repeat step 12.
14. Click "write to phone". Ignore any errors that occur.
15. Install the anycut.apk mentioned above on your HTC Hero. If you need help with that, pm me and I will explain a few ways to do it.

no rooting at all. Rooting is only for the U2nl, autostart.sh, etc settings that make your phone work with market and android app's. I don't have that yet, my speeds are very slow though on the internet. My plan is through my work, so I may just be on the standard $45 plan without extra Android/BB data.
