HTC Dream worth it?

So, I'm fed up with my Nokia 5800 and I want an Android phone. Unfortuneately there are no ATT compatible phones easily available right now. Is it worth it to pay $170 on an HTC Dream to play with and get a taste of Android with while I wait? Or should I stick with my 5800 and be patient?

i'm with you, just been waiting for an easily available android with att 3g bands. i would honestly just wait, 5 android phones are supposed to be released on att in the first half of this year. a couple in the next few weeks. you're so close might as well wait.
 
The HTC Dream is a nice phone but it is outmoded for an Android. Mainly because of the limited ROM space (256mb) that does not allow for much OS expansion and app installation. Your choices are to wait for AT&T to release theirs, live on EDGE (which is not that bad really), or get a Canadian Android that is unlocked. My instinct says wait, because the AT&T Androids might turn out to be cool.
