HTC 6700 flashing question.

thinking about getting the 6700 and flashing it to cricket.....got and understand the work involved but i had a question about the 1st part of the tutorial.....i understand that you should do a soft reset before the sprint/verizon specs load but say i buy a used 6700? is it not flashable? is there not a work around a 6700/6800 flash when the specs have been loading already?...thanks in advance.

on and off on cricket since 1999 lol just cant beat the price!
 
When you get the used phone, hard reset it and it'll reset the phone to its factory defaults. When it comes back on, it'll start the customization routine again, and that's when you should soft reset. Any 6700 is more than flashable.

Hard reset is easy--hold both soft keys at the same time and hit the reset button.
 
thanks, good lookin out.......should have the 6700 tomarrow. is there anything not covered or updated in the 6700 tutorial in this forum? and one other question...i'm seeing alot about the prl, i know its the prefered roaming list but but outside of the one for your area why would it be beneficial for you to change it? thanks in advance
