HTC 6175 Snap Smartphone, How to add applications?

I recently purchased the HTC 6175 Snap. I know there is a way to add facebook right to your phone screen, so that when you hit a key the Facebook icon comes up and it connects you right to it. I can't figure out how to do it. Does anyone have any ideas? I did look through the manual and it is not there. Thanks..
