HSM Trilogy Box Set Aspect Ratio.

I got the High School Musical Trilogy box set the other day and was disappointed to discover that HSM 1 and HSM2 were in 4:3 aspect ratio.

Have they been cropped to 4:3 from a 16:9 print or is the 16:9 version cropped from the 4:3 print.

Ahh cheers so I can assume the 16:9 version is cropped from the 4:3 version.

I'll have to do a screen cap of both to see which is which.

Edit: Just did a screen cap and it seems that the dvd is cropped from a 16:9 version.

Actually they were all shot in 16:9 and the blu ray releases prove this. There are many High School Musical fansites out there that will show you comparison shots and let you see just how much screen you miss in 4:3 and also what they look like. Also whenever they were aired on BBC over here they were aired in the correct aspect ratios. So the only way you will get the correct version is if someone manages to downscale the blu ray releases or you buy the blu ray releases.

Cheers, I have the low res versions of the 16:9 versions.

I was just disappointed they didn't use them for the box set.
