Hi all.
My HP Laptop was recently left outside during Blizzard Allison or whatever they're calling it. I had a 7 hour shift or so at work, and it was left in my car, packed up in a case and such. I (stupidly) turned it on nearly immediately upon arriving home, thinking to warm it up and to use it for some last-minute homework. However, when trying to use YouTube or World of Warcraft or any other program with sound, the music/sound fx are all muffled or really bass-y. It's like it's got someone's hand over it. The sound is fine when I put headphones on, but when I do that,sometimes I hear a high-pitched sound that sounds like a scanner or printer going back and forth.
I just want to watch videos and play my games, but this sound problem is making me very angry. Any ideas? And if it is broken, how might I fix it or how much does it cost to fix?
