if you left an object at a constant velocity you do work on it equal to the negative work done by gravity. so if net work is zero, how is there an increase in energy(PE)
i know there must be an increase in PE(conceptually), but i can't get exactly why(mathematically), if work equals change in energy(KE + PE)
