I have a scene in my book were the main character tempts suicide, I am thinking he tries to jump into a river. I have no idea how to write it, I have never done anything like that before so I just can't put myself in his shoes. I can't quite get into his head. Do you have any suggestions?
Luckily he does not succeed in his attempt or else I would be short one protagonist! But I just want you to feel for him, I want it to be deep and emotional, I want you to know all the thoughts running through his head. He has spent his whole life alone, and no ones cares for him. He is very lonely, that is why he tries to commit suicide.
