What would happen if you were accompanied by a family member or friend to the hospital and ALL questions were diverted towards the person escorting you? Questions alluding to the relationship of that individual to you? You know what I mean. Things like what is their ethnicity and specific relationship to you. Other questions, such as, are you friends, brothers or sisters, half brothers, half sisters, whole brothers, whole sisters, step sons, step daughters, mothers or fathers, uncles or aunts. What is the race of your father and mother? Then the doctor paused at the people being questioned. I believe this mode of questioning was done deliberately and strictly out of curiosity. Still, the doctor didn't want to accept a truthful answer. Again, this was none of the doctor's business. The last question of all was, "How are you able to survive by getting insurance services to pay for the visit at the hospital?" Mind you, the patient has previously given all payment information to Patient Services. The doctor didn't have to ask this redundant information again. This is insulting to any human being by treating the patient and accompanying associate as children. How would you have handled this situation?
