how would you feel if your spouse opened a checking account after you have

discussed not doing so? My marriage hasn't been easy. The honeymoon phase is over. We do get along the majority of the time, and have a decent relationship. but he has done things lately that haven't been right. We do not have a checking account, for a specific reason. No bad checks or anything. he has a brother that has the same name... Well hubby told me last payday that the bank clerk was pressuring him to open one, he told her no, supposedly.

Well I check the mail today, there is a debit card and checks. Im livid he knows what problems this will cause. When i confronted him, he said oh i told her i didn't want it, but she copied my Id and ss card when i used them to cash my check. It isn't active because i haven't signed for it.

What do i do? how do i handle this?
 
IF he specifically told the bank clerk he did NOT want a cking. act., she would NOT have opened one for him. He is NOT being truthful w/you, plain & simple as that. For some reason he DID open an act. Call the bank yourself & find out the ans. for yourself. When you get it, then confront him, let him know what you found out, BUT ask him point blank why did he feel he had to lie to you & go behind your back & do this AGAINST you. This was at all NOT rite of him to do this to you. Maybe you should just open up one of your own & make sure he isn't at least getting any of your money. Why should he?! Best to you...:)
 
i work for a bank , no one opens acct w/out cm permission, theres also signatures req'd to open it. ask him to add u to it that way its under both. if he doesnt want to maybe theres something else going on.
