I mean, I might be less open with my love for the respective band because I'd just want to avoid the criticism that would come along with being a fan.Wow, that makes you sound like such a tool.

Okay I personally do not enjoy being made fun of. I think it would be annoying in the wrong crowd. Some people are accepting of such things, others are close minded idiots. I would just keep my opinions to myself around those people, so I don't have to hear them talk.
Well I can sort of understand this, the way I heard it was that you wouldn't like to tell anyone because you would want to fit in or something like that. I can see not wanting to put up with idiots babble on though.
