How would one go about shooting for a Sys Admin / Server Admin job in

today's financial climate? I have a MCSA in Server 2003, MCTS upgrades to Server 2008, and CompTia Security+. I would like to move up from technical support / help desk positions. I've been turned down for higher positions. I'm looking for a viable strategy to get the job I've studied for. Many thanks.
