How would I know if a Toyota bumper is factory-manufactured?

I got rear-ended with my 2005 Toyota Avalon Limited, and when the insurance company fixed it, I went to pick it up and it didn't look right, at the end where there's a clip on the opposite side of which I was hit, it goes in, and an edge sticks out by the tail light that creaks very loudly when pushed in. The representative says it's the clip on the bumper, it's too small and that it does that because the bumper's plastic. The original bumper was not like that at all. I really need some serious help before I sign and pick the car up.

call your toyota dealer and ask for the part number for your bumper cover, then ask to see the parts list installed on your vehicle and look for that part number, if it matches it is factory, if it doesn't then it is not.
