I've done tons of research but i can't seem to find anything specific for a root... because i believe my phone came with the OTA update when i baught it, i baught it about 2 weeks ago. First of all my phone is the android version 2.2, baseband version 2.15.00.09.01, Kernal version 2.6.32.15-ge2fb08e, software number 3.29.651.5, PRI version 1.77_003, PRL version 60671. I can't seem to find what i'm looking for or if i am finding it maybe a video to explain it more in detail what i would need. like i said i did all the current updates with sprint it says my firmware is all up to date along with software everything... of course i did all of this before i discovered i wanted to root. I want to do the FULL root if possible... to gain full access not just the partial root that revoked seems to offer for only partial access... Is this possible yet?
like i said i believe i have the full OTA update already out of the box since i baught it about 2 weeks ago and all over the internet 2 months ago posts in blogs are talking about evos being baught are already pre stocked with OTA update and cant currently be rooted the OTA update disabled root acces.... but i'm unsure has a root method been updated for the OTA updated EVOs yet? if possible can you make a video on youtube for me showing me how to root the phone if its possible yet for rooting the phone? if i can get it rooted or even downgrade to remove the OTA update that would be cool i just need a video so i know what i'm doing, i've watched several videos but all mention the OTA update disabling this... Mainly what i want to do is put a custom ROM or w.e. into my evo customize every aspect of my phone to my liking from the boot screen to the theme in more detail then evo allows in its current state. and the free wifi tether would be awsome too. But for now lets just start on me learning to root an OTA updated evo phone. thanks for any and all responses to this. someone Please make a youtube video on this i would greatly appriciate it, if it takes 5 parts in a video to explain then so be it i'll watch it all as long as i can gain root access.
