How would i find a photo of someone that has died?

my friends dad died as he killed himself before he was born. He says he wonders if he looked anythinkg like him and it must be really hard not ever meeting your dad and not even knowing what they look like. He lives with his foster family who don't have a ny picture and his mum is a heroin addict in and out of prisons all over country. Is there anyway i could get a photo of him anywhere somehow, i know it would mean the world to him ??
 
Find out the names of his parents. He must have had a mother and father, perhaps brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. Maybe one of them has a picture.
