How would a declining population affect Canada's economy and lifestyles?

Hello, im in grade 12 in a WORLD ISSUES class and i have this question for homework that im a bit stuck on..I know the general idea of how Canada could be affected but a little help would be appreciated.. Please dont say im asking people to do my homework im jus simply asking for help..If you're gona say tha just dont even bother typing anything.

Ok so the whole question is:
Explain how a declining population might affect Canada's economy and lifestyles. Consider such areas as government priorities, consumer spending, the role played by economic growth in our society, and environmental demands.
 
Since there are countries with a much smaller population than Canada currently has, that themselves have lifestyles equal to Canada's . . . I argue that the current lifestyle could be sustained with proper deployment of resources.

Countries to consider are:
Iceland
Singapore
Sweden
Norway
. . . and others.

There would be less events and it would become less populated.

ummmmm... theres less people to buy stuff therefore less people selling stuff therefore less money in the country therefore people start leaving, repeat...
