How would a cashier at a grocery store serve you perfectly?

No silly answers please. What would be the perfect scenario? I work as a cashier and want to do my best. So, for example:

She/he greets you with a smile, starts a friendly conversation? Do you like them to ask you questions about how to pack your groceries, for example if you'd like the meat/shampoo/toothpaste separate?

The one thing that I wish the cashiers would NOT do is throw my produce! They scan the bananas or apples and then fling them down on the counter. It infuriates me. I pay a lot of money for that produce, and I don't want it to be bruised. So handle the produce carefully. People will be grateful.
