How will this affect my college application?

depends on the college. alot of colleges ignore the freshman year and understand that it was harder for you to adapt to highschool life. and some dont. it really depends. so long as your grade have only gotten better you should honestly be fine. school do acknowledge that you are human and make mistakes.

I'm applying for colleges now, but back in my freshman year I got a 65 in a math class, but a 79 on the regents. I was just worrieng that colleges wont accept me because of my low grade my first year. Now with my math average up to 86, do you think it will greatly affect the colleges decision?
My unweighted average was 87.89 (I took two AP classes)
