How well received would Goethe's dama and poetry be received if adapted for modern

audiences? Goethe was a great literary figure, but in the English speaking world, or at least in America, he's somewhat obscure. Many of his works are classics, but I'm curious how well they'd be received if turned adapted for English speaking masses for film and television.

Also, which of his works do you think would work best, and for what medium (i.e. blockbuster movie vs. TV drama)
