how well does a 2007 dodge dakota tow ?

it's av6 automatic with a towing capacity of 4700 lbs. how will truck do with a 4000 lb travel trailer?
 
it will tow it real good,what you,ll have to worry about is the stopping of it,if it came with a towing package you,ll be fine with it,but you,ll still need trailer brakes on it to stop it,i know they,ll tow good because one pulled me out of a ditch not too long ago with no problems,and my truck weighs almost 5 thousand pounds and the dakota had no problem pulling it out,good luck.
 
by using the exact gearing needed to move that load at highway speed, you can use shorter diameter tires to do the same thing as a gear change, you will loose some top end speed, but the difference is worth it
 
A tow package for this truck will rate your towing capacity at 7150 pounds.Remember to load properly.
