How was Marine boot camp?

Hello I'm about to be 17 and thinking about being a Marine.
I've looked it up online but i wanted to hear from anyone that is truly a Marine about what it was like and what i should know before i sign up?
I'm in athletics but during the summer going to start running miles and works out.
Is there anything else i should do?
