Egypt is the oldest civilization in the world and its urbanization predate for example Mesopotamia. What make Egypt superior and advanced can be found in culture that is shared by many of us several thousand years later. Egypt created first large building projects that survived up to this point and the pyramids is only left from the 7 wonders of the ancient world. Egypt was also first to develop bureaucracy to run the state administration efficiently. This model was used through much of the ancient world for many centuries. Besides engineering skills, Egypt was advanced scientifically, had superior medicine that was able to cure and treat diseases on level not matched until 19th century. Brain surgery, tooth drilling and filling, prescription medicine, and classification of diseases were used by physicians at that time. One of the many technological advances, Egypt was probably first to discover glass making and beer brewing - very important.

What helped develop it's strength and longevity ?
I have to write a research paper and am having trouble with what cultures around that time I should compare it to.

Please don't give idiotic responses. You waste everyone's time.

in my understanding they were not the greatest nor the weakest. to build monuments (pyramids etc) they were originally have thaught that slaves were used. some slaves may have been used but the majority of the workers were farmers, the reason farmers worked on pyramids was because of the river nile flooded over crops, beer and food were free and shelter was provided.

they had many revolutionary ideas and some of the greatest minds in the world.

to a pharaoh the bigger his pyramid was, the greater ruler they were. army's were massive and some of them were voluntary and some were forced to fight. the pharaohs were seen as reincarnated gods. they used capital punishment :(.
they fell many times like all civilizations.

religion and the afterlife were huge parts in everyday lives. household gods were prayed to from home for various things and major gods were national. thier life was preparation for the afterlife.

compare them to ancient greeks or romans
