How to you talk to the gods?

If I wanted to asked Apollo or Hermes something how would I go about it? I know this sounds odd and I'm going to get some odd answers but is they anyway to talk to any of the Olympian gods? do they listen if you get through?
i think you can burn food and they'll listen to you
