This is my first job.
I am in my last year of college (sixth form, not the college you have in the US) and it's my final exams - Alevels.
I have revision classes, enrichment, rehearsals as I do a practical alevel as well, etc.
I am working 25hours a week. I cannot fit in that amount of hours anymore- it has always been hard, but not as hard as this. Last week, I was getting up, going to college, work and then coming home at 10pm. I am so tired, that I go straight to bed instead of staying up and finishing an essay / revising.
My first priority is my education. They might not like that, but it is. I am not going to compromise my future for a part time job in a supermarket.
They offered me a study leave, but I have to make up the hours when I come back - how can I make 25hours a week without going full time?
So anyways, I am resigning. I have saved enough until my exams are over.
Never resigned before, so how do I do it?
Forgot to mention - I asked them if I could just work the weekends. (Many people who work their do just the weekend.)
My hours are not set in concrete either - I'm just the only person in the department during the evenings, so they don't want to 'loose me' at those times.
