Hello,
I need to write a limerick but I have no clue how. I don't want you to do it for me, I want to know how to do it myself. I googled it and found an Ehow article but I don't understand. It says that is has to have a
"stress pattern in lines one, two and five: da-DA da-da-DA da-da-DA da. For example, "There ONCE was a FEL-low named JER-ry...." You can omit the last unstressed syllable if you prefer."
What does that mean? I have never heard of these letter combinqtions before in English, so I don't know what Da means. I also don't understand how you're supposed to count the sylables. It says in the example to clap, and then there is an audio of someone clapping, but I can't hear a pattern, and it's just clapping, it's not clapping over or with words. Please no stupid answers, 'idk' or 'lol' aren't helpful. 10 points for best answer.
