How to work Logitech USB headset for Little Big Planet?

I just got a USB Logitech Headset for Little Big Planet. I checked the sound and maxed the volume on the testing area, and heard my voice fine on it. But when playing the game, my sackboy would lip sync what I would say but there would be no sound (but background music would be playing.) Help?
 
test it out with someone else, you aren't supposed to hear yourself when you're talking on it. only when you're adjusting the settings do you hear yourself. if your sackboys mouth was moving, then it works.
