how to wind up new Bulova 96R139 watch?

this is a re-post because i feel i sectioned the first on in the wrong place
I got my wife this watch for xmas, but she keeps saying its broken. how do i wind it up? i even went as far as reading the manual. It does not say how to or show how it. It only says it should be winded 7-8 times.

I don't know if its a self winding watch or if you have to manually wind it. the time knob seems to only go out one time and that is to change the time.
