How to view HTML files on Mac OS X?

I recently got a MacBook Pro. I use TextEdit to make and edit HTML files, but when I save them as HTML files and open them, I only see the code. Is there any way I could view it like someone online would? It doesn't matter what browser I use. I've tries Safari, Fire Fox, and Google Chrome.
