How to view all available networks?

Im trying to figure out how i can view all the available networks in my area. Im a Cingular subscriber and when ever i go into my settings and choose to pick my network manually it only give me like three Cingular options, not T-Mobile, or others. I know there are others im just wondering how i can do this?

Are you looking to see if you have good coverage in your area, or do you actually want to connect to the other network? If so, just pop in your SIM for the other network and everything should go fine.
 
i dont have any other service besides cingular, but i guess im just nosy and want to know has the best signal in that particular area and possibly connect to it.
