How to use Wifi Hotspot on HTC Desire?

I have HTC Desire (MashaALLAH se).Just like the title says.I have to use its Wifi Hotspot to connect my HTC Hero i dont have Laptop so that is why i wanna Connect my Desire's Wifi Hotspot to my HTC Hero.It connects but HTC Hero Does'nt load any pages or it says that there is no Internet Connection but its already connected.Why is that.?
I want to connect it without the ROOT.I do not wanna ROOT my device.
