how to use the SD card on a panasonic NVgs35?

I need to know this kind of urgently - I have no tape for the camera, but an SD card is in the slot.
Does anyone know how to get it to record onto the SD card.

The Panasonic NV-GS35 records video on miniDV tapes and still images are recorded on the SD memory card. Still images are automatically recorded on the card after you press the shutter.
