How to use the bike on pokemon Ruby with emulator?

I have an emulator called VisualBoy Advance (for the Mac) and i play Pokemon Ruby on it. However upon getting the Arco bike i came to a problem. I dont know how to jump with it.

The ingame manual tells me to keep B pressed down + the control pad at the same time to jump..

Now my problem. Wth is my control pad?

Anyone know?
