How to use headlights, blinkers, brakelights, etc. without key in ignition

on gas scooter/pocket bike? So my friend and I bought a pocket bike off his friend without a key for 20 bucks. Kid thought it didnt run, we put some new gas and starting fluid and started right up. But to start it, we had to disconnect the ignition wire. So now, no headlights or anything. Is there a way to get them to work without having the key? thanks.
 
If you bypassed the ignition to get it to run, why not simply buy a new ignition with key and attach it in, if you add the wire's in the new ignition in the same they were placed in the old ignition i see no reason why it shouldn't work. Hope this helps, Adam.
