You may not get an official release for the milestone for a while but some have reported that they rooted their devices and have gotten it to work on their moto droids.
I don't think the milestone runs motoblur. If it does, it may take longer because then it is not a vanilla droid phone like the moto droid.
I am in the same boat with senseUI on my Incredible.
