how to unlock steering wheel on a 95 mazda protege?

the key won't turn and neither will the steering wheel. tried turning wheel with and without the key in the ignition. tried pressing down on brakes while doing it and also tried putting it in gears. nothing happens. it doesn't have a remote to it. does anybody out there that knows anything about cars knows how to fix this without it costing me an arm and a leg? please help me.
 
Try turning the wheel left and right as you keep constant pressure on the key. Sometimes if the car is turned off while the wheel is being turned it can get stuck. If that doesn't work you may have to call a locksmith. Good luck.
 
try turning the key as you jiggle the steering wheel hard it may get it but it sounds like your key and the lock are worn if you can get it started you need to go see a locksmith failing this you will need a locksmith to come to you find one that does a lot of car key stuff in melbourne a new lock with 2 keys is around $100
