how to tune LG 26 LCD TV?

hi am from sri lanka i bought a new LG 26'' model-LH2000 HD ready LCD tv. i managed to tune&view channels as i started to use it for the first time and then within a month suddenly the channels were gone and i tried all the possible tuning options including resetting and changed the country but still i dont receive any channels nothing wrong with the cable either but i can watch movies from a DVD player .. can anyone help me in this issue pls.. thank you very much
