I would like advice/ideas from people who have actually done this. I am a 20-year-old female from the U.S. and I have already spent some time in India (2 months volunteering). I have decided to take 6-12 months off of school next year and travel around with my friend. We want to go anywhere from places in Europe, since we both have friends there, to Africa.
The problem is that I am limited with money, but will be able to continue saving until next October and may get some help from family. What is the cheapest/most effective way to travel around?
