how to transfer videos from sony dcr-dvd910?

i have sony dcr-dvd910 handy-cam and i want to transfer videos to my laptop

but when i tired to connect my sony cam my laptop shows the dvd drive but when i open it
its showing empty

what should do do this camera needed some software or something plz explain me step by step
