How to transfer information from one computer to the next with a flash drive?

I am switching information, downloaded things, pictures, etc........from a computer with Windows Xp to a new computer with Windows Vistaa.......How do I save the info from the old computer onto the flash drive? Its 8 G
ha ha easier said then done.....i will try
 
Open 2 explore windows on your old pc, showing the usb flash drive in one of the windows and your documents/computer in the other. Start copying from your files and pasting into the flash
