"How to Train Your Dragon" Trailer

I can't believe I saw a trailer for a Dreamworks movie that didn't envolve farting, pop culture jokes, or annoying celebraties:p

Okay, all jokes aside, this looks like a great movie. I think that I will actually see this one in theaters.

Now I'm interested in the book,
I saw it at the bookstore, but didn't really look at it.

I like the character designs,
but the boy's voice could take a while to get used to.

Looks like a fun movie worth seeing overall, though.

For the people who have read the book: Does the Dragon is supposed to look that sinister?

I think this kind of story would work with a more friendly design.

Not half-bad. Say what you will about Dreamworks, but I found myself drooling over the animation. The dragon's adorable - I wanna hug the hell out of that thing. Gotta give extra points for the designs of the human characters - I actually think Hiccup looks like a younger Linguini (Rataouille). Very Pixar-ish.

Is it me or does Hiccup sound like the Kevin Sandusky character from Tropic Thunder? Same actor?

Also, since this is Dreamworks...is the posters out yet? Any eyebrow? *shot*

EDIT 1: "You are so busted!"

Phineas and Ferb reference?

Yep, Jay Baruchel is the actor's name.

A teaser poster is indeed out, but no eyebrow.

Ashley Tisdale isn't involved, so this seemed unintentional.

Let's just hope that if this is true, Hiccup and his dragon doesn't get into a Pokemon search for other dragons across the many medival lands of the film.

It looks pretty good from the trailer and with Chris Sanders directing, I hope it can make up for Monsters Vs Aliens which was okay but a let down after Kung Fu Panda.

Dreamworks also has Shrek Forever After and Oobermind in 2010 and every other year they will release three films which I think is too much and I wonder if Jeffrey Katzenberg is trying to hog the marketplace against not only Disney/Pixar but also Blue Sky and Sony Pictures Animation.

That's how I felt after seeing the teaser trailer. It's been a long time since a trailer for Dreamworks made me this interested in one of their movies.

I think that it looks pretty cool so far. The background looks really nice. I agree that the dragon's design is awesome. It looks so strong, yet so adorable at the same time. It totally works for me. Hiccup has potential to be interesting too, although I'm going to have to get used to his voice.

I was already considering seeing this movie just because dragons are my favorite mystical creatures, but I may actually go to theaters for this movie, as opposed to waiting for the DVD. It looks like it could be a really cool movie.
