J John New member Sep 15, 2009 #2 On a 2000 Ford F150 they came out with an automatic tensioner from the factory. If the belt is Squealing the belt may be "glazed over" and need to be replaced. If the belt is still good then it sounds like it could be a bad tensioner. I hope this is the best answer.
