G/F and I of 3 years are going on holiday; a romantic getaway to a resort location. We have been planning this for most of this year and here is the story about the coworker. Its a female who had a trip planned to the same spot with her B/F; she is a nutcase who scared the guy when she started to plan her wedding 2 months after having met him. He ran for the hills and she cancelled their trip. There was never any talks about going on holiday together, its just something I guess girls talk about so my g/f knows her plans and she knows my g/f plans for going on holiday.
As soon as we book our room and flight; she starts telling my g/f how she's looking for flights and rooms in the same place we'll be staying at during the same time we'll be there. They are not the best of friends; rarely hang out after work, so its not like its her best friend.
I have a huge problem with this; my g/f does too, but she is very soft spoken and will not say anything. I know vacation spots and countries are free to everyone, so its not like i can stop her from showing up, but we were looking forward to some alone time, its our first holiday alone, since we've always been on holiday with friends.
To make matters worse, i plan on proposing.. i have a special itinerary planned for the two of us for the week and this is my biggest concern about having a third wheel along for the trip. My g/f does not have a clue this is going to take place; otherwise she would mention to her coworker this is a special trip for us and wish to have our privacy.
Anything we can say to hopefully discourage her coworker from going along (separate) but on the same trip as us? Are we wrong for feeling this way? I think its inconsiderate of her to tag-a-long where one isnt being invited.
