Sorry for long story, but if you really want help, please read.
Okay, I really liked this girl, she was cute, funny and adorable and I was a the guy who was realistic and had a personality. We flirted with each other, and it was sooner or later we were going to be a couple. Problem was my friend wrote a story in which we were actually a couple, and had explicit details about sex. The worse part it said the story was written by me.
Now, on the same day the story was hitting huge publicity, she was really really mad, telling me she hates people who starts rumors and overall upset of the problem. Interestingly enough, she still remembered details of our past conversations and was still fun and flirty with her friends.
Later in the day, I looked in her eyes with passion and confidence and told her "I am sorry."
She responded with "I was just kidding" (Honestly WTF)
That was the last time we talked, about a week ago. I pass her and we make eye contact but we haven't talked since. The embarrassment of the story has broke us apart and I don't know what to do. I am planning to ask her out, but how do I do that without being awkward because of the past events.
Wait! I did also write her a note, telling her "I really like you"
and then another one saying "Just as a friend" Teasing her and stating I still need to talk to you.
But how do I tell her I like her without being awkward because of the story?
I did tell her I didn't write it but she doesn't believe me and forced me to apologize for having any correlation with the story.
