How to teach kids not to add with their fingers?
so im tutoring my bf's niece who is going to second grade, she needs help in math, english etc. well i noticed she needs alot of help or she will get held back therefore i need to teach her how to add & subtract without using her fingers. how do you teach this i really want to help her i just dont know how? PLEASE HELP ME!!!! i'd very much appreciate it thanks so much
she like doenst know how to use anything but fingers i tried writing down little lines then adding & subtracting them but she needs to memorize it bascially so how can i help..?
