how to talk to a girl on facebook?

i have his friend on facebook and i want to talk to her but im to shy to talk to her she know who im from school havent talked in person i just have liked her post on facebook and liked her pictures but thats about it would she find it wierd if one time i send her a message on facebook or would she hate me and not responed its almost chrismas break and i was wondering talking to her on facebook during break becuase i know im not going to see until 2 weeeks so it would it be wierd so what should i say any tips would be helpful and yes im really shy so don't say don't be scared there just girls. but hey its still reallly hard thanks for the anwers
 
That's the problem with face book and texting - and even Face same problem as well you.. My suggestion would be once you establish a friendly association with her invite them to meet up , even just for coffee or a drink but don’t pressure her and ask to talk on the phone, and say you like personal communication better than typing.
