How to take spark plug out of 91 cadillac deville?

When I went to take a look to see if i can take my spark plugs out to clean them. I wonder how to do it because I took the wie off but its like a brass looking piece that make it impossible to put my spark plug socket on
 
It may require a special tool. Ask at a Cadillac parts counter. Either way, do yourself and your engine a favor and install a set of Bosch Platinum single points, or Nippondenso Iridium plugs! Take the AC junk out and discard. You won't be sorry you did!!!!
 
Don't attempt installing the plugs if you are inexperienced ! It's way EZ to cross thread & hurt an aluminum head. The plugs should be started & 2 full turns by hand to ensure that they're straight. There is no reason to clean a sparkplug in a fuel injected engine.
