I'm 16 years old and recently have read the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I'm wondering what I can do to now to be succesful in my future. I do very well in school and plan to keep doing well, but I don't know how far that can take me.

If you have ever read the book you know about that "rat race" the author talks about and how you need to avoid it. My family is stuck in the rat race now as my dad works 2 jobs and we are always struggling to pay bills. How can I start young to acquire assets that will give me money and grow into a lot of money? The author of the book was big on acquiring real estate at a cheap price and selling it for more, but i'm only in high school and can't really buy land at the moment :p. I have 1600$ in the bank and would like to invest it and acquire assets, but I don't know what to get. Info on assets I could get at my age would be helpful. I am also very interested in the stock market and want to learn as much as I can about it. I've plan on reading more books about it and biographies on people like warren buffet. What else can I do to gget a jumpstart on my financial future? I want to have money to help out my family cause they work so hard for money but we never have any and it sucks. Any advice would be great thanks :)
