how to start a business?

I started designing snowboards just for fun and people ive showed them to think i should sell them.
So i was wondering how i should start? Should I make a website and put them on the internet? But then people could steal my designs. So what should i do? Should i sell the designs to a company or try to start my own?

Any thoughts?
