how to solve music uploading problems with sony psp?

i have been having problems uploading music from my desktop computer to my psp, i have try reformating but nothing works.
normally when i try to upload music to the psp this error comes up
" make sure you specify the correct path and file name"
 
here:
1. plaug in the usb corb
2. hit usb detection under settings
3. you computor should say install or usb connected
4. transfer your music files into thefolder named "MUSIC"
5. Listen!

This should work.
