I asked a question on this about a week ago, and I just want to get some more details.
I'm a senior, and plan on going into the Air Force within the next week.
I've wanted to go in since I was little, and shes very supportive of the decision.
She wants me to go into the military, and wants to come live with me on-base, but doesn't want to end up being alone for long amounts of time. Also, she doesn't want to end up doing nothing around the house everyday while I'm working.
I've learned that I get a housing allowance, and can cover everything else with my base pay, therefore money won't be that much of an issue.
Also, I've learned that we have to be legally married. Thats not much of a problem, but when do we need to be legally married by? By the time I sign the papers committing to the military, or just by the time she moves in with me?
And from what I've read, if you want to have a kid, you need to be married first, otherwise they'll make you take a DNA test to prove its yours. Does this mean you need to be married before you conceive the child, or before it's born?
